Can I really have Eternal Life? That is a question that has gone through the minds of millions of people since the beginning of time, and possibly through yours at this very moment. The answer to that question is a simple one-"YES!" Jesus put it this way in John 3:16..."For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have EVERLASTING LIFE." Did you catch that? The whole reason that Jesus came is so that we might have everlasting or eternal life! He did not come so that mankind might have another religion to add to the multiple kinds already in existence, but rather so that mankind might have eternal life.

     You see, you and I do not deserve eternal life, but rather eternal death. Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is DEATH; but the gift of God is ETERNAL LIFE through Jesus Christ our Lord." God in his holiness has to punish sin, and that punishment is death for eternity in the lake of fire! That is what you and I deserve.

     So how do we receive that gift of eternal life spoken of in Romans 6:23? It's simple. Remember John 3:16? The end of that verse says, "...that whosover BELIEVETH IN HIM should not perish, but have everlasting life." That's the key-to believe in him. If you will today believe that Jesus is the Son of God who came to die in your place that you might have Eternal Life, you can have it TODAY! Do not think that you can fool God, however! If you just want to continue holding on to the sin that you enjoy, and go to Heaven also, God will see right through you. Turn to Him with all your heart today, believe in Jesus Christ, and you will have eternal life. You have God's Word on it!
